Garth Sundberg, Sr. is the elected Treasurer of the California Tribal Chairpersons Association (CTCA).
"The California Tribal Chairpersons Association is vital to all tribes in California and the nation. California is home to approximately 1/5 of all tribes in the nation. Through this Association, we will be able to unify and advocate for California tribes and begin to address the injustices that have occurred in the past and promote the health and wellness of Native People."
Garth Sundberg, Sr. is the Tribal Chairperson for the Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria. Mr. Sundberg has over 22 years of Tribal Government service and previously served as the Tribal Vice-Chair from 1997-2006. He has been the Tribal Chairman from 2006 to current. He is actively involved in the tribal enterprises and serves on the Tribe's Economic Development Board.
In 2010, Garth was instrumental in the formation of the Northern California Tribal Chairmen's Association and has led the NCTCA as Chairman since 2011. Garth is one of the NCTCA appointed representatives to the California Tribal Chairpersons Association and is currently the Treasurer.
